Series 1: EDC – Elite Developmental Circuit

Welcome to the Elite Developmental Circuit

A Division of The Elite Circuit™

The premier competitive series designed to prepare young athletes for the highest levels of gymnastics.

The Elite Developmental Circuit (EDC) is a season-long points-based competition system created specifically for athletes on the TOPS, Hopes, and Junior Elite pathways.

Our mission is simple:

Provide more opportunities, more experience, and a clearer developmental runway for athletes pursuing the elite track.

Currently, elite-track athletes have very limited opportunities to compete their elite routines before the high-stakes competitions: ie., American Classic.

EDC fills the gap by providing:

✔️ Multiple elite-only competitions throughout the season

✔️ Consistent judging exposure (national + international brevet)

✔️ A structured points system

✔️ Feedback-driven athlete development

✔️ A competitive environment exclusively for elite-track athletes

The result?

More prepared athletes.
More confident routines.
Stronger performances when it matters most.

How the EDC Works

The EDC operates as a seasonal competition series, consisting of:

• Multi-location meets (Series 1 Events)

• National ranking system

• Season Points Championship

• EDC Series Finals

Athletes earn points at each meet and climb the EDC leaderboard.
Series champions are crowned at the end of the season.

Judging Standards

Year 1 the EDC uses a blend of:

  • FIG International Brevet Judges
  • National Brevet Judges

This hybrid system provides athletes with:

  • World-level judging accuracy
  • Developmentally appropriate feedback
  • Exposure to international scoring styles

While the EDC is not an official FIG or USAG qualification pathway, it is designed to support athletes and coaches preparing for those events.

Our Vision

To build the strongest youth elite development pipeline in the United States, giving athletes more opportunities to grow, compete, and rise to the demands of elite gymnastics.

Eventually, The Elite Circuit will expand into:

  • Junior Elite Division
  • Senior Elite Invitational Series
  • International Youth Elite Showcase
  • Training Camps & Seminars

What Makes the EDC Different

  • Elite-only competitions
  • Points-based rankings
  • International-style judging
  • Consistent season structure
  • Professional branding & atmosphere
  • Athlete-centered development

The EDC isn't replacing the USAG elite system —
it's enhancing it.

EDC competitions use elite-style routines, international-inspired judging, and a structured ranking system to help athletes gain the exposure, confidence, and competitive readiness required for success at the next level.
