THE ELITE CIRCUIT™ — FAQ

Welcome to the official FAQ for Series 1 (Launching 2026).
This page explains the purpose, structure, and vision of The Elite Circuit™ and how it supports the Hopes and Elite developmental pathway in the United States.

1. What is The Elite Circuit™?

The Elite Circuit™ (EDC) is a new competitive series designed to enhance the elite developmental pathway in the United States.

Series 1 offers athletes multiple opportunities to compete routines that follow true USAG Hopes and Elite rules, while earning season-long points through a structured ranking system.

EDC is not a replacement for existing elite events — it is a powerful additional developmental opportunity.

2. Is EDC meant to eliminate or replace regular Hopes or National Qualifiers?

No. Absolutely not.

Traditional Hopes and National Qualifiers remain unchanged and just as important as ever.

EDC exists to support and strengthen the elite track by offering:

  • More competitive reps
  • More elite-rule routine experience
  • More feedback and development
  • More pathway clarity for clubs and athletes

Think of EDC as an add-on accelerator, not a replacement.

3. Who is The Elite Circuit™ designed for?

EDC is built specifically for athletes on the elite trajectory, including:

  • Current Hopes athletes
  • Junior Elite hopefuls
  • Level 7–10 athletes training elite routines
  • Clubs developing athletes toward elite qualification

If an athlete is pursuing the elite pathway, EDC is designed for them.

4. Why was EDC created?

To provide elite-track athletes with what they’ve been missing:

  • Multiple competitions instead of “one shot” qualifiers
  • Experience performing compulsory and optional elite routines
  • A point-based developmental season
  • More opportunities for growth and confidence
  • A pathway that prepares them better for Hopes, Elite, and National Qualifiers

EDC fills key gaps in the current system — helping more athletes become ready for advancement.

5. Do routines follow real Hopes & Elite rules?

Yes. 100%.

All routines at EDC follow the exact same technical, composition, and requirement standards used in the USAG Hopes and Elite programs.

This ensures athletes are developing correctly, safely, and in alignment with the national pathway.

6. How does EDC scoring work?

The Elite Circuit™ uses a season-long point system, not traditional standalone meet placements.

Athletes earn:

All-Around Finish Points

Points awarded based on AA placement in both:

  • Compulsory routines
  • Optional routines

Event Champion Bonus Points

Winning an event adds bonus points to an athlete’s season total.

Season Ranking

Points accumulate throughout the series to determine leaderboard standings at the end of the season.

This scoring model rewards consistency, development, and performance across multiple meets — not just one.

7. How is EDC different from a traditional qualifier?

The Elite Circuit™ includes:

  • ✔ Elite rules
  • ✔ Point-based season ranking
  • ✔ Compulsory + optional routine development
  • ✔ Bonus points for event champions
  • ✔ Multiple series meets for true progression

Traditional qualifiers include:

  • ✔ Elite rules
  • — Point-based season ranking
  • — Compulsory + optional developmental scoring model
  • — Bonus point structure
  • — Multiple meets (single meet only)

EDC provides a season, not a single test.

8. Is participation in EDC required for elite-track athletes?

No. Participation is optional and is meant to enhance — not dictate — an athlete’s elite journey.

9. Do clubs need an invitation to join Series 1?

No. Series 1 is open registration for any club with athletes on or preparing for the elite pathway.
